Mother's Day Care Packs for our Community

At Craigieburn Salvation Army, we have many volunteers who help to run programs in our local area. The roles they fulfill are as simple as shaking a fundraising tin, or as complex as managing the catering of a free weekly community meal. We regularly engage with thousands of people in our community as we seek to assist them with their everyday needs.

As COVID-19 hit our community with stage 3 restrictions, we were aware of how hard our volunteers were dealing with this, especially the Mums! Isolated from friends, family, and the community they loved.

We put together a Mother's Day, care pack to be delivered straight to their doors by our managers. Part of the pack was a warm jumper purchased from Good360. The Mothers were so appreciative of the visit and we could see how much reaching out during difficult times meant to them.

All remaining jumpers were given away to community members through our welfare service.

Thank you Good360 and BIGW for making this possible.
