Women are fabulous

Micah Projects works to break down barriers that exclude people from housing, healthcare, employment, meaningful connections, and to give people a voice. We ensure the immediate needs of individuals and families are met, in a supportive, informed and respectful manner. Our Mission Statement is to respond to people who experience exclusion, poverty, injustice and social isolation so that they may experience inclusion, economic well being, justice and connection within their community of choice.

The L'Oreal gift packs were given to women we supported to escape domestic violence with housing after experiencing homelessness and to attend our annual Moonlight Magic Dinner Dance.

This is an image of women getting their hair and make-up done for the Moonlight Magic Dinner Dance, which is an event like no other.

The Dinner Dance is a community event where socially-created barriers are toppled and members of the Brisbane community, from all walks of life, come together as equals to enjoy each other’s company. It has grown into a major event and is the social highlight of the year for many who attend.
Over 800 guests enjoyed a night of glamour, elegant attire, sumptuous food and great live music. Almost half of these guests experience economic disadvantage and social isolation daily.

This make-up, together with donations of men's and women's evening attire, jewellery, shoes, ties and handbags, ensured all attendees had the opportunity to dress up and feel fabulous.
