Clothing For Our Community

This amazing donation we received from Good360 has been spread across a few different services within Anglicare. From our Bushfire recovery service in the South Coast and Batlow, our ER services here in Canberra where we partner with St John's Care and Gordon Community Centre, our Youth health Service in Canberra and our Out of Home Care services in regional NSW.

In a normal week of our ER Services, we assist around 150 families - having this donation has meant that we’ve been able to hand out warm jackets, jeans and maternity clothing to those in need in the Canberra community.

The Junction - Our Youth Health service here in Canberra, has completed 700 youth worker visits over the past year and with a particular focus on young people who are homeless or otherwise experience (or are at risk of) disadvantage - this donation has allowed us to give them clothing that is warm, fashionable and functional.

Part of the donation has also been given to our ‘Out of Home Care’ service, of which there are approximately 304 young people in care. Most come with very little and to have the opportunity to distribute more fashionable items that suit a younger audience has been fabulous.
