Creating Connections during COVID-19

Since COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to suspend our kids' dinner nights and all community activities. The kids in the area also have not had an opportunity to play in our lovely park next to our house after getting a much needed upgrade in play equipment two months ago.

Crossenvale Community House is located in Echuca (regional town in Victoria). Our house is surrounded by mostly public housing or low income households. Our house is focused on providing support and resources to the families in the area.

We are blessed to be able to hand out the Empower Packs to the children in the area, providing these fun, cool items and also getting the opportunity to connect with the families in a very hard time for everyone. It gave us a chance to let them know we are still around, we are still thinking of them, and we are still here to support our community.

We are very blessed in obtaining the Empower Packs. The kids had a fantastic time going through the bags and we got the chat about their ideas and hopes for future programs and events for young people in the area.
