Nappies make healthy, happy bubs and families.

Aunty rang the other day to see if we had any nappies at CHAC (Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation) as her great granddaughter didn't have any and the family couldn't put enough money together to buy some for her. They were stressing about what they were going to do. Poor bub was going to go without and the family felt really bad.
It felt so good to be able to give them some nappies to help until pay day. I felt proud that Aunty put shame aside and phoned to ask for help. We don’t want little bubs and their families going without. Not changing a nappy often enough is not good for bub nor the family!
"Getting nappies donated was very helpful because I don't have to buy some for a while. That means I can put the money to use for something else, like food and clothes" said one Mum. “The donation makes you feel special and happy”.
Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation has been distributing nappies to mums and families in need during COVID- 19 by direct giving, offering them during women’s and community days. Our Midwife is giving some to the new mums. People in Buronga, Gol Gol, Coomealla and Wentworth districts have benefitted.
Sincere heartfelt thanks to The Nappy Collective and Good360 for helping our community out with nappies.
