Celebrating Cultural Diversity

Life Without Barriers provides care and support services across Australia in urban, rural and remote locations. Our services include family support and out-of-home care, disability services, home and community care for older Australians and support to refugees and asylum seekers. We also work in the areas of mental health, homelessness and youth justice and we have a strong commitment to Reconciliation and delivering culturally sensitive programs.

The Celebrating of Cultural Diversity Festival was held to highlight the diversity of the many different communities in the Western Sydney region, the event aimed to promote the benefits of living in a culturally diverse society and develop a deeper understanding of, the customs, traditions and celebrations of our diverse communities. Community harmony and resilience is greatly influenced by our ability to come together, learn from one another and develop partnerships based on shared values and joint activities.

From Good360 we ordered lots of children’s toys – such as Shopkins and Zelfs - and accessories – such as sunglasses and bracelets. The kids were delighted with what we were able to give away and combined with the face painting, puzzles and table football meant all the participants had an amazing day out.
