Making a difference

VMCH is able to give items such as household goods such as cushions, sheet sets, hand and face cream, cosmetics and toys sourced through Good360, to people we support who are financially disadvantaged.

During this year, especially through the unprecedented times of COVID-19 people in our VMCH community have been impacted by social isolation. The people receiving goods this year mostly live on their own in our affordable housing accommodation and have little contact with others. With Melbourne restrictions in place, many of our community have not been able to see family or friends.

Also, some items are given away to other very needy people in the community who support our Op Shops and we know they are particularly struggling this year. Toys sourced will be part of our Christmas hamper campaign going to children with disability and families in our community service programs.

The impact is amazing as people are very grateful for the items. As one person said, “I want to thank you for the generosity and kindness”.
