Since 1997 Youth Futures has supported over 7,000 individuals with Emergency Relief. The longevity of this service, alongside our positive reputation among young people and sector services, means we are regularly approached by young people who need immediate practical support.
The Emergency Relief service is a vital engagement tool and provides urgent essentials to single young people in the local community. Emergency Relief hampers provide substantial food items, essential hygiene items, fresh food vouchers, medication, Transperth passes and some bill assistance. More than just a hand-out service, our Emergency Relief staff and volunteers engage young people in meaningful conversation during their referral and appointments to gain an understanding of the issues and barriers that young people may be facing.
The contents of the hampers depend on donations and ad-hoc funding applications for the service. Any donated items are a great help to the organisation and of course the young people in need.
Good360's Empower Packs, Colgate toothpaste, towels and other goods we were able to go help supplement our Emergency Relief hampers with these essential items. These made such a difference to the recipients thank you Good360 and all your donors!
