Supporting Aboriginal Victorian families over Christmas

Aboriginal Housing Victoria are a social housing provider that target services to those most in need of support. One way AHV aim to support low income families is through an annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

It is difficult to recall a year that had more unforeseen challenges. Victoria faced devastating bushfires and a global pandemic that represents an ongoing threat to the safety of our tenants and every Victorian.

This year we expect it may be tougher for many of our most vulnerable families.

With our head office closed due to the pandemic, Good360 donations were a significant contribution to our Christmas Appeal. The generous donations played a huge role in supporting those in need during what can be a difficult time of year.

The generosity and kindness shown by the community continues to drive the campaign.

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time. Many families are often headed up by single parents or Elders and on low incomes. AHV provided gifts to 750 children in AHV households. We also gave out hampers to 313 Elders (aged 60+) living in AHV households.

Big thanks to Good360 and all donors.
