Supporting a community with compromised immunity

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland is in a privileged position and has a special role working with and for the cystic fibrosis community. I do not know a community more resilient than those living with cystic fibrosis. A child born today has a life expectancy of less than 47 years. Many do not live past their twenties. Due to their already compromised immunity, people with cystic fibrosis are likely to fall fastest, hardest and longest to COVID-19. Since the early outbreak of the pandemic in Australia, our families have been keeping their loved ones at home in isolation where infection control can be managed. The financial, physical and emotional toll of the pandemic is tough on us all, but we are only experiencing a fraction of the impact that this has on the lives of cystic fibrosis people.

The goods received from Good360 go directly to support adults and children during their hospital visits. We supply approximately 225 Boredom Buster Bags to children in hospital every year.

Thank you Good360 and all donors for these essential items.
