Thank you BIG W! We have so many testimonies of the impact you and your donations have had on people’s lives.
One major testimony is a story about a 55-year-old lady who was homeless and had no basic clothing...no bras, underwear, shoes, or clothes. We met her in temporary accommodation one afternoon and after meeting her, we returned with clothing items we received from BIG W. Her favourite colour is orange, so she loves the thongs (pictured)!
From that encounter of love, she offered to help us sort and prepare our Christmas Hampers and is now a vital part of our team.
Her self-esteem and outlook changed dramatically, and said:” I was once a train wreck, but my life is now changed”.
On Christmas Eve, she moved into her own place! Her life of trauma has certainly taken a dramatic turn. It all started from receiving bras, underwear and basic clothes, to now no longer being homeless!
There are so many similar stories to this. The other items we received from BIG W Port Macquarie and BIG W Kempsey, were included in our Christmas hampers. These hampers are so impactful and even made some people cry.
