Strengthening our Community!

As an emergency relief organisation, we provide a range of material and financial aid to people in the Diamond Valley Region, who are experiencing financial crisis or hardship. We support more than 4000 people per year, with food support, hygiene support, and more.

Since COVID-19 and especially with the shutdown of many community services, we have seen a huge increase in demand, especially hygiene products and nappies. Many vulnerable community members, like new mums, have been unable to access support as they largely moved online or completely shut down.

Through the support of Good360, we can support vulnerable new parents with basic necessities. A number of workers from maternal-child health teams supported playgroups and others who work with the most vulnerable new mums and parents have also reached out to us to ask for our help to support their clients.

One worker commented, after receiving feedback from her client that came in to see us, that she was so relieved and grateful to be able to link her in with us. Being able to support more numbers of vulnerable people this way, has also helped to strengthen our relationships and networks with our community partners, has helped to strengthen our sector, and has helped to strengthen our community.
