HAS Foundation Care Packs

The HAS Foundation was founded in memory of Hunter Alfred Stratton, Ella & Jarrod Stratton’s first-born son. With the mission to provide ongoing financial and emotional support to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families, the South Australian foundation has significantly contributed to a number of palliative care projects for Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
One of the Foundation’s most valuable initiatives is the provision of bespoke care packs that are delivered to each family navigating through the process, making their days at home or hospital a little lighter.
The care packs are thoughtfully put together to provide families referred to Palliative Care with items to make their life somewhat easier and their journey a bit more gentle, at the hardest of times. Think LEGO sets sourced from Good360, books and Netflix vouchers for their other kids, vouchers for grocery, petrol and meals for their parents etc.
The total value of each bag is around $400-$450.
Approximately 80 of these get sent out to metro and regional SA each year. The Foundation also sends out seasonal gifts for Christmas, Fathers Day, Mother's Day & Easter.
