Huggies provide relief

QFKC as the Peak organisation for Foster and Kinship Care in Queensland was able to distribute this wonderful gift of nappies to a number of Foster and Kinship care services to distribute to their carers where needed.

QFKC also distributed a small number of nappies directly to some carers where possible with carers and their children benefiting in both Brisbane and in Maryborough and Hervey Bay.

During 2020 expensive items such as nappies were difficult to purchase at times and like everyone, carer households were experiencing not only the effects of COVID-19 but also the ongoing rise in the cost of living expenses.

As volunteers, Foster and Kinship Carers rely on the ability to purchase at a reasonable cost or be donated items and nappies which are at the top of the list a lot of the time. Having the ability to access different items of need at different times allows some carers to have just that little less stress in their lives when caring for our children and young people.

Thank you to The Nappy Collective, Huggies, and Good360 for providing relief.
