The Just Brass families attend The Salvation Army - DHQ Social’s 4 local suburbs and many of the families are experiencing at least one form of social complexity and/or vulnerability.
The children attend schools where music is not always on the curriculum and there is no access to music groups. The Just Brass program is designed to teach music to children in primary school. It’s also there to support and mentor the children through their middle school years. It’s an absolute privilege to watch positive transformations happen within all the participants.
The Empower Packs we received from Good360 were distributed to our Just Brass families, as an encouragement to the kids to recognise and praise their efforts in practice and also to encourage them to keep persevering.
