At CareSouth, our vision is to create a positive future for Children and Young People. Kids in foster care have experienced some disruption in their life. This may be due to abuse or neglect, parental mental illness or drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence or general family breakdown.
We were thrilled to receive a fantastic donation from LEGO Australia that allowed us to give each of our kids in out-of-home care an exciting Toy this Christmas. The Toys were given out by staff at our annual Christmas Party, and having LEGO Building Sets to give out was the perfect Gift as it much loved, allows children to develop their imagination, as well as construction and social skills.
The remaining LEGO Building Sets were used as rewards in the Homework Hub, encouraging our kids to try a little harder with their reading and school work.
