With one in six children in Australia living in disadvantage, we love being able to support those children through local projects. Recently we were able to support Gormandale Community House and received some amazing feedback.
Gormandale is a small town in a dairy district which lies on the edge of 2 shires and often overlooked as being a little insignificant. Then with the outbreak of COVID-19 our kids have been battling even more with social isolation. We are working on ways to get them back on top of things and building their confidence. Your gift is allowing us to start an after-school LEGO club here at The House.
I’ve been the Coordinator/Manager here in Gormandale Community House for 3 years and this is the first time in that time we have received a gift like this solely for the kids. So, thank you.
I witness some of the difficulties that families go through to make ends meet and we endeavour to provide a safe place for our community to come to for assistance, advice and company. However, one of the hardest things is identifying those that need help when they are so apt at hiding that from others.
The LEGO and other items donated have made a big difference to this small community house and it's ability to support the community.
