Cystic Fibrosis WA is the primary support organisation for individuals affected by cystic fibrosis (CF), and their families, in WA. We provide in-home carer support, nursing and physiotherapy consultations, social work and counselling, school, community and health professional education and carer respite events.
Children with CF are frequently admitted (for two weeks or more) to hospital. Each week we take a trip to the hospital to catch up with our young members and bring them a ‘Boredom Buster Bag’ full of snacks, games and activity items relevant to their age. Since our collaboration with Good360 we have been able to provide them with some fantastic distractions to help fill their days, the LEGO has been a massive hit with the boys and the girls have loved the Shopkins toys and accessories.
