Kids in Lockdown!

Central Clubhouse is a program for children and families developed by youth staff at The Central Synagogue. As part of this program, we take care of children that come into the Synagogue and provide a happy and safe place for them to play and learn. We also have programs to engage children in the community and encourage them to be a part of the community so they feel supported and cared for.
We try our best to make our programs free or low-cost to the community to ensure that all families and children have the opportunity to participate regardless of their financial situation.
We welcome anyone from the local community to join these events and rely on the generosity of donors to help fund our programs
Unfortunately, programs were cancelled due to the recent Sydney lockdown. We wanted to encourage the children to stay connected so we organised a series of Zoom events including a talent show and family trivia afternoon. These events are free of charge and we used the LEGO and Vimwood products sourced from Good360 in a number of ways. They were given to the children as prizes for the trivia afternoon. 30 kids logged into the event and everyone received a prize. We either posted or hand-delivered them. We also gave out a further 40 gifts to families with children identified as close contacts and stuck in 2 weeks isolation. They were so grateful and the toys brightened their day.
Thank you Good360, LEGO and Vimwood for the products and support.
