Finlayson House provides safe and supported accommodation
for women and children in crisis, suffering from domestic violence or homelessness.
We provide:
• Safe accommodation
• Emotional support and understanding
• Referrals and connection to other agencies to enhance clients’ (and children’s) safety and well being
• Advocacy on behalf of clients to achieve the best outcomes for them.
We assist clients with:
• Restraining Orders
• Counselling Referrals
• Medical Appointments
• Court/Legal Referrals and Advocacy
• Assistance with Housing Options
• Daily Case Management and Goal Setting
Any assistance the Refuge receives is greatly appreciated, especially as our funding really only covers operational expenses so we have to apply for different grants etc to be able to provide those extras that our clients may need when they come into the house with nothing.
We recently received Good360 Empower Packs for children and women that contained books, toiletries, toys and much more. All of which have been put to good use for our clients.
