A little room makes a BIG differences

A man from our recovery program accessed our Good360 storeroom wearing clothing that was neither clean nor weather appropriate. He excitedly found a pair of brown Qantas pyjamas, and immediately went to the restroom to change into them. This man came out with the biggest smile on his face (and a nice pair of white sunglasses), commenting 'I'm a new man!', proudly showing off his new outfit.

A youth client of mine (aged between 20-23) accessed the Good360 room and collected one of the 'shopkins' ponies. This young woman is extremely isolated, does not access the community generally without support, and when I saw her 2 weeks after collecting a bundle of lovely items from the Good360 room, she mentioned how she played with it every morning, talked to it like she would a friend, and it assists her in combatting isolation and loneliness on days where she doesn't have support staff with her. Shortly after her initial visit to the Good360 room, she messaged me saying that 'it was my favourite day ever' and how 'it feels like I have a friend with me all the time'.

Another client from our recovery program accessed the room, looking for items to take to supervised access with his son. A week after receiving the items, we received feedback that his supervised access was the best he's had with his son. The toys encouraged safe play, and he asked 'daddy, next visit can you please bring the toys so we can play with them together again?'.
