Forgotten Caravan Park Community

Heartland Foundation helps those that have been forgotten. Most of our community live on caravan parks as they are the only places that will accept them as residents and they get little to no support. One location in particular, Freemans Caravan Park has been recognised for being the end of the line for people with nowhere else to go, last year SBS spent a week documenting the living conditions. One of the main issues is that there is no drinkable water as it isnt connected to the council sewerage - it is in the middle of nowhere. The owner of the caravan park allows these people to live there even though cannot pay their rent and electricity bills.

Heartland visits every week taking food supplies, cleaning products and anything else we can get from Good360.

The Harcor sanitiser has been hugely appreciated given the situation with no drinking water people and has helped this community stay sanitised during Covid.
