Household appliances create winning smiles

The Clontarf Foundation supports and develops young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in 150 schools around the country, and continues this support for their transition into employment or further study and training. We operate in schools to improve attendance and retention, and also work with our graduates to assist them in succeeding with their job or studies.

Through the partnership with Good360, Clontarf recently received washer/dryers and microwaves generously donated by Winning Appliances to help the young men we work with and their families.

Everyone who received these appliances were very grateful, including boys currently at school, older graduates who are working or studying, their Mums and Dads, Aunties and Uncles, Nans and Pops. While basic household appliances are often taken for granted, these can make a big difference in a family that might be struggling financially. Being able to take care of the clothes washing at home and heat meals quickly with minimal fuss helps a household save money and function smoothly… not to mention dedicate its energy elsewhere on more exciting things!

A big thank you to Good360 and Winning Appliances for their generosity and helping create lots of smiles – the pictures tell a thousand words!
