Happy Mothers Day from Verona School

Verona School is a school for specific purpose located in Fairfield East. Good360’s support has been an incredibly valuable for our school community. The generous donation of goods means that we have been able to support our families with essentials they may not be able to afford or access.

A part of this delivery was women's handbags, shoes and apparel. Being so close to mothers day we thought it might be a perfect time to teach our students about giving back. Students were able to choose a bag, pair of shoes and item of clothing for an important person in their life. We worked through social stories to help students understand that this exercise was about thinking about what other people might like and considering someone else' needs, likes and dislikes. Students were incredibly proud and excited to make mothers day bags for the special person that they identified.

Students invited guests to morning tea and were able to present them with a thoughtful gift. These gifts were well received by our community and the lesson in giving was not lost on our students.
