Funerals during a pandemic

As a not for profit funeral home, we service the local community and provide affordable funerals. We also provide funerals and low or no cost for those who can not afford it. Our organisation heavily relies not only on our dedicated staff but a team of volunteers who give up so much of their time to respectfully prepare the deceased for burial. Items such as pens and office equipment that we receive, means we have more money to assist with burial costs for those who can not afford it. We have programs to assist our staff and volunteers as we try to take care of their general health and wellbeing. Emotional support is very important and we want everyone within our organisation to feel supported. Self care items such as books and beauty products are distributed to staff and volunteers to ensure that they know their hard work is appreciated and we are so happy to be able to offer these tokens of appreciation. Our organisation also supports grieving families who have lost loved ones and if we are able to offer them some self care products, we know they feel that extra bit cared for.
