Kindergarten Orientation

We all remember how scary starting school can be! When 100 new kindy students arrived at Walters Road PS they met new friends, new teachers and were beginning to learn new skills. Many of the students are from refugee backgrounds, low socio-economic families and have never attended preschool before. After each new student left they received LEGO to help with fine motor skills.

This is one families story ...
"Please find attached a collage of photos of my son Aiden . He is one of your 4 year olds who is currently in Kindy orientation. Aiden is a very 'energetic' child whose favourite down time activity at home is Lego. He was very excited to receive his surprise today and was eager to start! He completed both parts of Emmet and Benny's 'Build and Doc's Workshop by following the instruction manual and finished it in no time. We love his concentration face, Lego is serious business in this house!

Thank you for the lovely surprise, and feel free to share the photo to the company who provides the Lego, it's a wonderful initiative!"
