Technology Brings Connection and Hope

A big THANK YOU! to Harvey Norman and Good360 for the generous donation of laptops and tablets which will benefit the people we serve through our HopeStreet Community Centres and Social and Affordable Housing.

In our community centres, our clients will have access to technology which will assist them in navigating various support services, such as Centrelink and help them to maintain connection with vital services. Many clients will use this technology to help them complete employment training programs, engage in employment opportunities and establish and strengthen long-lost connections.

Many residents of our social and affordable housing are learning to use a computer for the first time and are so grateful for the opportunities this technology will provide for them. For some of our HopeStreet clients, they struggled during the pandemic lockdown with home schooling, many with multiple children and little or no technology. These devices will help us to make sure children and families have every opportunity to succeed in their education and employment, and strengthen connections in their local and extended communities.
