Salisbury High School supports approx. 1200 students from 30 different cultural backgrounds and various socio-economic backgrounds in SA's Northern suburbs with more than half of our families receiving Government support with fees.
Salisbury High School was lucky to receive Government funding to support a Library upgrade in 2021, the opportunity to update and improve our book collection through Good360 and Booktopia has been a true game changer for us. With such a great range of texts provided across a range of genres, the new books have created a buzz with our students and have seen an increase in visitors to the library to borrow the new titles.
We were also lucky enough to secure a box of t-shirts from Gildan Brands, which our Digital Tech class has utilized as a part of their design brief to improve learning outcomes. Previously students have had to supply their own printable items leading to a range of items coming in, various sizes, colors, quality and materials. This makes running the class difficult and being able to offer students items of the same quality and design, ensures equity and consistency in materials available to our students leading to improved access and outcomes.
As part of our enrolment packs, we include a pair of Australian shoe laces from SC Johnson to help our new students feel welcomed.
Thank you Good360 and Booktopia for bringing new interest to our library
