The flower bouquet was made by a young woman who comes to Rosie’s Place. She needed to discuss some things that were very difficult and so built the LEGO through the conversations to make it easier for her. After finishing those discussions and the LEGO, she took them home as a reminder of how brave she had been.
LEGO has been a great medium in the counseling space, for children and young people talking about the hard stuff can be overwhelming. But when we add LEGO, it is able to take the focus off the hard stuff. Makes it easy for kids to talk about their experiences without feeling pressured.
