Attendance at school is vital to students learning outcomes. If they aren't at school, they can't learn. As an Aboriginal Attendance Officer, it is my job to promote increased attendance across 3 networks equalling 62 schools. It was great to receive the Good360 donation of hair accessories, toys, and girls' jewelry items which I was able to donate to Bennett Rd Public School for them to use as incentives. This year, with their new attendance program run by Mark Dyer, AP, attendance has already seen an improvement. Mark has said the program has been a great success, with teachers, students, and parents all approaching him to eagerly see which class has made the most improvement each week!
