During the 2022 floods in Shepparton/Mooroopna, Shepparton Family and Financial Services were able to give away to residents brand new work boots along with cleaning goods which assisted them in the cleaning up of their homes once the floods had subsided. These work boots were able to assist residents with the cleaning stage of their homes as they moved from crisis to recovery.
Many people were overwhelmed with receiving the work boots and cleaning goods. One family explained “how the work boots made them feel safer to go into their home and start the clean up” This family lost all of their belongings and were living with other family members while they await for affordable housing. Approx 100 pairs of work boots were given away.

Bendigo Family and Financial Services was established in 2006 to support those most at risk in our community. Shepparton Family and Financial Services opened in 2019 and Cobram Family and Financial Services opened earlier this year.
