Browns Plains Community Christmas Celebrations

Food4Fort kicked off its very first community Christmas celebration last year in the Browns Plains Samoan SDA Community church kitchen.
Collaborating alongside local church volunteers, the Food4Fort team worked to provide local community families with a nice hot meal and Christmas care hampers.
Local community families experiencing personal and financial hardship and housing issues, including homelessness, were invited to this event via community social media pages, noticeboards, and door-to-door invitations.
Prior to the celebration, donations received from Best&Less stores and Good360 were sorted by volunteers to create Christmas care hampers. Hampers consisted of various household necessities including toiletries, kitchenware, clothing for adults and kids, toys, and many other goodies.
We thank Good360 and Best&Less for providing us with the awesome products that allowed us to give back to the Browns Plains community. We look forward to future opportunities where we can make more impactful moments.
