PAMPERING A REMINDER TO TAKE TIME OUT AND LOOK AFTER YOURSELF

L'Oréal, Swiss, Maybelline and NYX, your generosity has made such a difference to so many people we cannot thank you enough. Our support group ran a total of 4 sessions of pampering at The Great Lakes Tafe at Tuncurry over a two day period helping 46 ladies. Pampering program: Presentation by TAFE teacher on beauty and looking after yourself, Basic facial, hand massage, fingernails painted & filed, lunch & cold refreshments and a gift bag of beauty products.

The consumer’s learnt to look after themselves and reminds them to take time out in the future. Social isolation is such a big thing to overcome when you suffer from a severe mental illness. So many carers were burnt out by the end of the year and this gave them the lift they needed to cope with Christmas. It’s lovely to see these ladies out and about wearing makeup that came from your donations.

Gifts packs were made up from the Swiss Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask 70g, L’Oréal makeup, Maybelline makeup and NYX products and given out to the ladies after their pamper treatment. We also made up Christmas gift packs that were really appreciated by those less fortunate in our community and struggling with their mental health issues, this included ladies who had been affected by fire and drought in our area.

All the ladies were reminded to reduce stress in their lives and improve their overall well-being. So far over 200 ladies have been impacted in our community by your generous donations.
