The River Murray Flood Recovery Team recently received a donation from Good360 of cleaning products, toilet paper, mops, brooms, etc from the business Salute.
Our team has been diligently packaging these goods into "Cleaning Packs" to be given out to Flood Impacted people along the 220km stretch of the Murray River.
The gratitude that has been shown by the community over such practical items has been incredible. Something like a box of toilet paper being provided to a family group who are going about the clean-up process on their own sometimes living onsite in an old van to get the job done has been immeasurable. Bathroom cleaner being given to an elderly gentleman who really wanted the dignity of completing some part of his clean up himself, so he could spray down the mud-stained mirror he was faced with looking at himself in every day - would bring a tear to most people's eyes. Given this disaster isn't the only challenge these people face, with the cost of living rising and the job at hand enormous, any ability to ease the financial burden is welcomed - the cost of a brand new broom or a mop isn't lost on this hardworking community, which thanks Good360 and its donor sponsors from the bottom of their hearts.
