LEGO for kids fleeing DV

Nightlight has seen an increase in families accessing our services after fleeing domestic violence situations. At times they are living in their car or in tents. Sometimes they are privileged to have been assigned a home, but have no means of putting anything in it. This is where we come in and try to make their life that bit easier and fit out their home or give them what they need to keep them comfortable in their current situation.
The LEGO we receive from Good360 has been an absolute treasure for us to be able to give to kids in need. It is something small that they are able to take with them and keep them occupied. Having different age-appropriate boxes is even better. It gives the kids ownership of something they might have had to leave behind and gives them time away in their imagination and out of difficulty for a bit. The smiles on their faces are priceless and it makes us feel good about what we do as well.
