Receiving this order from Goods360 was a huge relief for the staff at John Hartley School. The teachers having been trying to recreate the safe sense of belonging for their students since they lost their classrooms in a fire on Easter Sunday. There is no way the teachers would be able to afford the quantity of products that have been provided to them. They are extremely excited to be able to distribute these items to their students.
All items that were ordered have been carefully selected. We can use the boy's and girls' accessories to provide the students with little gift bags when we enter our new classrooms for term 3. Our Aboriginal Education staff is very excited to use the seedlings to create a vegetable garden in our new village and boost our current kitchen garden.
Our year 1 students have been extremely supportive of their peers, giving up their classrooms or combining with other classes. To thank them for the sense of community they have provided students affected by the fires we gifted them with activity books to take home.
Our children and staff lost their collections of picture books in the fire. The new collection of picture books has filled the classes with stories. Each day the students browsed through the pictures and voted on a class book to be read during story time. Discovering a large range of new stories has been wonderful.
We cannot thank Goods360 and Booktopia for the support they have provided to our school community
