Stewart House Children Choose Lego

Every year, 1,600 disadvantaged public school children from NSW and the ACT visit Stewart House on Sydney’s Northern Beaches for a 12-day stay. Children receive health screening, treatments, and referrals for their eyes, ears, and teeth. A trauma-informed program supports self-care, conflict resolution, and social skills. Since 1931, a visit to Stewart House has always been provided to children free of charge, and the organisation depends entirely on charitable donations to meet program costs.
During a stay at Stewart House, children participate in an awards program where they receive High Five Dollars for upholding the three core values of the Stewart House Program:
• To be safe
• Kind and fair
• Having a go
These” dollars” can then be redeemed in the Stewart House High Five Shop for new and age-appropriate toys and gifts on the day before departure, and many children also choose to take home gifts for siblings.
Also, each child celebrating a birthday at Stewart House also gets to take home a present from a range of brand-new items. It’s a real treat!
Quality LEGO items are always in demand, consistently topping the children’s wish list, and are a real hit with boys and girls!
This fun element of the program is only possible because of the generosity of support from organisations like Good360 and its product sponsors. Thank you Good360 and LEGO
