In ac.care’s Foster Care Service in the Murraylands we have a dedicated team who are blessed to support a cohort of over 40 foster families who open their hearts and their homes to some of our most vulnerable children. In these homes are 65 children who are living in their “forever home” and a number of children (from our region and also from the metro area) who go to our families to be cared for on respite. It has been an absolute blessing to our Program to be in partnership with Good360, enabling us to bless our children and carer families with wonderful gifts at Christmas and at other times throughout the year. Mahatma Gandhi famously once said “The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members”, and as we partner together with Good360, we ensure that our society stands a bit taller, showing it has arms that reach far out into society and a heart that finds those who are in need of and so deserving of care. *pictured is ac.care CEO Shane Maddox, with Jude Maslen and Haley Wearing from the Foster Care team and Sheila Millington from Community Connections; unpacking the pallet of LEGO received.
