Thanks to the generous donation from Good360 and LEGO, our school has created a LEGO Library giving our students direct access to an extensive range of sets to take home and enjoy. Students will be able to borrow them from the library just like a book and will be encouraged to take a photo of their build to add to the LEGO Library wall helping to showcase the sets available and celebrating the successful builds being completed by our students.
To ensure sets are returned complete and continue to be available to other students to borrow, students will need to earn their borrowing power by working their way through our levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) showing us that they can be trusted to return the sets complete. As they complete each level, they will win a small prize (LEGO of course) and be able to work their way up to our Black level – being the most intricate and or complex sets.
By making our LEGO Library more diverse by adding a range of LEGO appropriate to younger children we have given students the opportunity to borrow LEGO for their younger siblings. By engaging with our families and encouraging our future students to be creative, open learners we are successfully building a level of trust and excitement with our families about what we can offer students now and into the future.
And adding more complex sets to our LEGO collection has supported our older students in engaging with LEGO and our learning programs.
