With generational unemployment being a significant issue for our community, we as a school, through our programs, offer our students options for higher education and training and for improved lifestyle choices. We also provide options for future employment and positive community engagement.
We are thrilled to be able to offer our students a new service in this space, by giving them access to the amazing collection of clothing offered by Good360 and its partners. We have been able to organise a ‘Be Interview Ready’ day for our senior students. At the session students will be able to access a set of interview appropriate clothing along with tips on how to present successfully at interviews.
As a way of addressing behaviour at our site, students who are engaging in disruptive behaviours are being mentored by staff in one on one and group sessions where they can focus on understanding and recognising individual triggers, develop personalized strategies, understand the impact of their behaviour on others and be monitored for behavioural improvements and or escalations in a more positive, personal and productive manner.
The pallet of Boogie Boards offered by Good 360 and its partners has enabled us to offer students a significant ‘incentive’ for successful engagement in the program and ongoing positive behavioural change with successful participants in the program being given a Boogie Board as recognition of the positive changes they have made.
