Meet Adrian, a beautiful young man attending the VMCH Community Connections/Gateway Day Program. Adrian was recently gifted a “Creative Transparent Bricks” LEGO set, not only was the gift a wonderful surprise, it came with the added benefit of helping increase Adrian's verbal communication.
Whilst playing with the LEGO - putting his favorite shaped pieces together, Adrian has increased his communication, identifying and talking about the variety of colors and various shapes from the LEGO kit.
At VMCH as part of our Annual Christmas Hamper Bag distribution will deliver additional: Creative Transparent Bricks, Duplo Dinosaur Nursery, and Build Together LEGO Kits in December 2023. These will be distributed to several families and individuals attending VMCH disability services, specialist school St. Paul’s College, and our early childhood programs.
We trust the LEGO sets along with our hamper bags will bring extended joy and added benefits such as witnessing Adrian’s increased communication.
