LEGO has been used in a number of settings at Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services.
This picture is of a Youth and Family worker who helps run Free to Be You, a group for young people part of the LGBTIA+ community. The LEGO set in the picture is currently being made by a teenage girl who attends weekly. She is a disadvantaged young person, who has experienced significant financial hardship. She has stated that her favorite thing to do at Free to be You, is to build with LEGO. The first thing she does every time she comes to the group is ask for a LEGO set. She often builds LEGO for the whole duration of the group.
The LEGO allows disadvantaged young people to use resources that they would not have access to without this donation from Good360. It gives disadvantaged youth an outlet for issues they are facing in their lives. Such as financial hardship, homelessness, relationship issues, and mental health.
