Clothed With Care

In many cases, whilst women seeking support can find access to goods, clothes, and personal items through services, such as one of our member organisations, Northern Area Domestic Violence Service (NADVS), these items aren't always new.

We’ve worked with NADVS and facilitated several fundraisers for their program. An example of this can be seen in the photo, where we ran a fundraiser shoe sale. The money raised from our shoe sale made it possible to purchase new carry bags, backpacks as well as hair and beauty items. These items were combined with the brand new t-shirts we received from Big W and Epicentre, to create care packs.

Lots of thought was put into creating these personalised care packs, ensuring they were respectful and appropriate for the needs of these women. We feel they really appreciate being able to receive new items in their care packs and the inclusion of the t-shirts was an incredibly addition.
