How A Brother Felt Valued in a Time of Crisis

Thank you Good360 for providing us with high level toys that we can now distribute to local children in need. This is something that we've not had the funds or scope to provide previously.

Since COVID-19, our Centre has been providing food and crisis relief to our community with no additional operational funding. We have done this through partnership with charities, an amazing volunteer network and dedicated staff who believe it is the right thing to do.

The LEGO we were sent has been given out to children in crisis situations.
An example is a 12 year old boy who attended the Centre with his Mum and three younger sisters to get help as they had fled a domestic violence situation. He had been watching, feeding and caring for his younger siblings while his mum was recovering from injuries. The three girls had been given toys from the refuge but this boy was too old to be given anything.

With the ability to give him a LEGO set of his very own, he broke down and cried. This had a strong impact on this young man’s life who is carrying so much on his small shoulders to feel valued and to own something of his very own.

He said “I had to leave all my stuff when we left and didn’t think I would be getting anything. Thank you for helping my Mum and sisters and can you say thank you to the nice people who gave you my new LEGO, this is awesome.”

Thank you LEGO and Good360.
