Christmas Kindness for Mum in Need

Our centre's 2023 Christmas Appeal was greatly supported by Good360 and its donor partners, the products we received enabled us to provide relief to 1149 people.
Below is an example of the circumstances of one of the families we helped.
A single mother of two children presented at Frank Konecny Community Centre as a result of homelessness due to the current rental climate. She had been notified she had two weeks to move out and obtain another rental due to the owner of the property having to sell. Mother lost employment due to the significant impact her circumstances have had on her mental health and having to prioritize the wellbeing of her children. Mother's sole source of income is now from Centrelink and cannot service the cost of obtaining another rental. The mother discussed feelings of helplessness and lack of capacity to purchase Christmas gifts and school supplies as a result of reduced income and increased cost of living. Frank Konecny provided the mother with Christmas gifts, backpacks, and school supplies from Good360 to support her. She was overwhelmed with joy as a result as her children would have a present to open for Christmas she said that this was one thing off her plate that she would not have to worry about and she felt like less of a failure now.
Thank you Good360 for your ongoing generous support of our community.
