February 2024
Each year INCommunity supports local families in need, identified by local support workers to bring some joy to their Christmas.
With the assistance of Victoria police, we delivered 25 Premium hampers with food and gifts to 3 local schools. In addition to this, we provided presents to the entire children's ward at the Sunshine Hospital and other local families who requested assistance.
We're grateful to Good360 and the organizations who so generously donated to make this project possible. Thank you all.
Here are 2 short descriptions of families helped by a local support worker:
1. Child 1: Female, 16
- This student is an only child and attends school regularly. She lives in a very complex environment and utilizes the support of her school and community to manage her mental health concerns.
2. Child 1: Male 16, Child 2: Male 9
- This student is currently in year 10 and his mother has a cancer diagnosis. He is working well to remain engaged at school despite a complex family situation. He has a younger brother with ADHD. He attends school regularly.
