School Social Connections program

The donation of LEGO sets provided our students with the ideal 'bonding' point with which to build connections and develop their social skills before transitioning to high school. Our school designed our Social Connections program specifically for Stage 3 students (Yrs5/6) as a means to build stronger peer connections, as well as develop cooperative skills in students before transitioning to high school. LEGO proved to be an ideal tool to bring students together with a common goal, working together and building friendships. Students were also provided with the opportunity to take LEGO kits home to continue building skills beyond the school.
