YWAM is grateful to receive a pallet filled with hygiene products from Good360.
YWAM House and YWAM Precinct care for at-risk young women and engages young people and the community at large through an integrated adventure-based learning space complete with high, medium and low ropes courses, a cafe, and a multi-purpose youth space for seminars and other activities in the heart of Townsville’s CBD. The youth outreach hub has an integrated approach with a ‘learning by doing’ and ‘challenge by choice’ philosophy working in synergy within a highly engaging environment with enthusiastic volunteer staff to create unique opportunities to create a community, explore identity, build capacity and community engagement.
YWAM partners with key stakeholders to assist with prevention, intervention and rehabilitation programs, specialised live-learn vocational training, soft and hard skills for jobs and job readiness while targeting North Queensland’s youth crime, youth disengagement and youth suicide challenges.
Thanks to the supplies provided by Good360, precious young women are welcomed with a toiletries basket as they settle in at YWAM House, the short-term shared accommodation for young women aged 17 through 25 who are transitioning from homelessness to permanent accommodation. Furthermore, the products help meet basic needs while building dignity as members of the Townsville community who are in need are also welcome to grab a toiletries bag while visiting the Precinct Cafe.
