What little person doesn’t love The Wiggles? The songs, the stories, the rhythm, the music, the dancing, the concerts, the adventures they go on – they are so engaging with kids helping them find their happy place as they get lost in ‘all things the Wiggles!’
When BIG W made this series of books available at no cost for the children in our service we were absolutely ecstatic not only because they were from the Wiggles Brand, but because they are books, and a series of eight. Small children in trauma will struggle with memory and reading and they can get so frustrated with themselves. When they can’t read, it allows the older siblings or mum to connect with them by reading to them. This is way better than watching tv or hanging out on the internet.
BIG W are proud sponsors of Good360 and for not for profits like us. Some could say it’s good for their brand, which is true. More importantly, it is their generosity of heart and spirit making goods available to families in trauma and in this case helping them to find a traditional way to connect with each other in reading and learning together. We hope these books will help our kids with their self-esteem and also help with their communication skills and ignite a passion in them for reading!
