The Frank Konecny Community Centre provides free crisis hampers weekly in partnership with our friends from OZ Harvest W.A.
This service helps around 40 households a week to access free healthy food options. The centre has experienced an increase in homeless patrons needing food support. We identified that a large number of crisis attendees struggle to have sources of protein in their diet. By receiving the amazing donation of protein powder packets from our friends at Good360 we have added protein back into the diets of our most vulnerable community members. Frank Konecny C.C. Staff member Erin said " We sometimes provide frozen meat in our crisis hampers but this was of no use to those who are living in their cars with no access to a freezer or a hotplate to safely store or prepare the meat. The protein bags mean we can offer a source of protein that our homeless community can safely store and prepare with water and a bottle. I have had many people that I have offered this product to either break down and cry or keep asking if I'm sure they can have it for its good quality stuff". Thank you Good360 and your amazing donors that allow our centre to provide this fantastic product to our community in need. You are helping us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
